It comes as no surprise that LinkedIn has reported an increase in user activity over the past few weeks.
As consumers are confined to their homes, we’ve seen social media usage as a whole rise dramatically.
Many professionals are now using LinkedIn on a daily basis to stay up to date with COVID-19 information and updated as to how other businesses are handling the situation, in order to inform their own approach.
The platform has reported that its user and engagement has been increasing for some time, so it’s not surprising to see more people turning to the site for professional advice.
This week, LinkedIn has published its top tips on how users can maximise presence on the platform during this critical time to better connect and engage with its networks.
Here are LinkedIn’s four key tips:
- Post about your experience
Featuring your personal stories and insights is key to building engagement on the platform, and establishing a presence within your respective communities.
- Discover and comment on conversations most relevant to you
Searching for discussions relevant to your interests and experiences through hashtags and engaging with other professionals within your field of interest is critical – a simple comment can go a long way!
- Be yourself and offer your unique perspective
Content you post should be genuine and make you more approachable to other professionals using the platform. But bear in mind that all content needs to add value and be of interest to other users.
- Stay informed with trusted news and share your thoughts
Follow the latest news through the platform’s new trending section and share trusted articles to your feed, as another way to engage in the broader conversation and engage and inform your LinkedIn community.
