Group Fundraisers Have Come To Instagram
A new feature has come to Instagram. You can now run your own group fundraisers on Instagram.
This will mean that you will be able to have several people on board within a single fundraising event.
As shown below, you have the option to invite several members to join your fundraiser through the click of a button.
As explained by Instagram:
“Offline fundraising is often a group activity, from things like walk-a-thons, to bake sales, to concerts, and we wanted to bring that same sense of community to Instagram fundraisers so people can activate together around a single cause. 100% of the funds go directly to the nonprofit you’re raising money for, too.”
You will now be able to invite as many people as you like to join your fundraiser which will mean it will be easier to get your fundraiser out there, raising more awareness, helping you to reach your donation goal ?️
Fundraising is becoming that much easier thanks to Instagram’s new tools.
Add A Donation Button To Your Page
The donate button isn’t a new tool, but it is still an important feature charities need to know about.
The donation button is a super quick way for people to donate to your organisation without leaving the Facebook app.
And the best part, you can add the button simply and easily to your page.
So, how do you add the button to your page?
1: Go to your charity’s Facebook Page – ensure you are a page admin.
2: Select + Add a button from your Page header.
3: Select Donate through Facebook to let people donate directly through Facebook.
4: Click Finish.
It’s as simple as that.
Donation Sticker On Instagram Stories
Instagram has made increasing donations to charities even easier with its donation sticker button for your Stories.
You can easily add donation stickers to your Instagram stories, all you have to do is add the donation button (below) to your Story.
This feature isn’t limited to Instagram, you can also share the same Story to Facebook with the donation button as well.
Go Live
Virtual events aren’t over yet, Instagram has the option for you to host a live event.
Not only this but non-profits can specifically use Instagram live events to share fundraising events, allowing followers to participate actively in donating.
For all the Facebook fanatics you can also share live events on this platform too. By going Live you can share your fundraising progress instantly, keeping your supporters up to date as well as inspiring others.
