Facebook has released a new report which looks at the evolving consumer fashion purchasing journey, and the role that social platforms can and do now play within that process.
To help marketers, Facebook instructed a survey of 1,729 people in the US, aged 18 and over, about their fashion purchasing process.
Facebook has also commissioned identical reports in Canada, France, Germany, United Kingdom, Australia, India, Indonesia, and Brazil.
Results from US shoppers can be seen in the infographic below.
The social network stated:
“From the growth of the resale market to increasing concerns with industry-wide sustainability, people are having their say in how fashion moves forward. And thanks to the integration of mobile and social media into everyday life, they now have greater control over where, when and how they shop.”
