The holy grail of inspiration, Pinterest recently announced the update of their mobile app.
In the last 12 months, the social media site has added a suite of self-serve tools that allow businesses to reach more ‘Pinners’ and measure their success. This new update allows both small and big businesses to easily extend their social media activity.
Previously the only way to create ad campaigns was only accessed on the desktop site. However, with the recent launch of this feature on their app thus enabling advertisers and businesses to edit, control and measure the effectiveness of paid pins on the go whenever they want.
The new tool has been simplified to streamline the targeting process. Performance metrics such as advertising spend, impressions, clicks, remaining campaign durations and saves are also included in the new launch.
Pinterest explained how the new tool works:
“Businesses start advertising on mobile by choosing a Pin from their business profile and then selecting from automated or custom targeting options. After choosing Pins and targeting options, they can pick the duration and daily budget of the campaign, complete billing information and then publish the ad – all from a mobile device.”
The ability to edit, create and control promoted pins will in no doubt build brand awareness and drive performance as well as reaching new customers.
