On May 21st, LinkedIn announced that they would make all business adverts accessible to platform users. This essentially will include the addition of a tab on all LinkedIn pages, whereby users will be able to view sponsored content.
In the announcement, they discussed that ‘Increased transparency to both our customers and members is critical to creating this trusted environment.’
Facebook launched a similar tool back in 2018, which allowed users to view all active ads that a page was running across Facebook, Instagram, and Messenger.
LinkedIn went on to discuss that the new ad settings would be the first of many updates to come over the next year as they continue to help provide platform users with more information on the ads that they see.
It’s thought that this new feature will be available to Linkedin members globally over the new few weeks.
